Deanna Lowe is a Designer & Creative Director based in New York City specializing in luxury, fashion, beauty, lifestyle and culture. She is currently Design Director at Real Simple magazine. Her expertise includes visual storytelling, creative development and redesign, as well as branding.
Consulting projects range from identity, packaging, collateral to digital design, in addition to extensive experience in editorial design. Her skill set includes conceptualizing and directing photography and illustration, leading and mentoring creative teams, along with collaborating with editors on content, pacing, and vision.
Clients include Real Simple, InStyle, StyleWatch, W magazine, Waldorf Astoria, People magazine, Rodale Custom Publishing, Travel + Leisure, Glamour, Latina, New York magazine, Field & Stream, Men's Health, Fast Company, Inc., O, The Oprah Magazine, and The New York Times Magazine.
Deanna has also served as Art/Design Director for several notable consumer magazines including Absolute New York, Fortune, Men's Journal, Sports Illustrated Women, and Worth. Previously she held design positions at Condé Nast House & Garden and New York magazines. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Kansas City Art Institute and began her career at Hallmark.
Her refined typography skills, passion for design and photography, along with a sophisticated level of taste have earned her numerous awards including a gold medal from the Society of Publication Designers.
